Burcei is a small town located north-east of Cagliari, in southern Sardinia, Burcei has a mountainous territory, rich of orchards and vineyards. In the vicinity there are archeological remains in the area called Rocca Ricelli. Not very far away is the beach of Feraxi Torre Salina.

 Located about 45 km north-east of Cagliari, Burcei can easily be reached by State Road 125 (if from the airport, SS554 for about 10 km then SS125) from this city for about 25 km, then after passing San Gregorio, turn left into SP21 and proceed for about 7 km. Cagliari airport is connected to the main Italian cities, and there are frequent ferry connections departing from Naples, Civitavecchia, Trapani and Palermo.
 The Cagliari-Elmas airport where it will be possible to pick up a rental car or take a bus to Cagliari, is about 43 km away.
